We offer matinees as well as evening performance ushering opportunities. Registration is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and certain performances fill up quickly!
HOW TO SIGN UP

We will send you an email link to SignUpGenius, the online scheduling service we use to schedule all our Volunteer Usher opportunities.
Volunteer Ushers must arrive 45 minutes before curtain time. Dress is business casual, no need to wear black and white, but no jeans or flip-flops please! Ushers must be able to stand for at least 60 minutes at a time and be able to climb a flight of stairs. We ask that you be comfortable with modern technology (we use electronic ticket scanners) and have a valid email address that you share with us – email is our preferred method of communication with you. We would also like to have a mobile phone number on file so we can reach you quickly in case of a last-minute change to the performance you are ushering.
IS THIS YOU?
The most important aspect of the Volunteer Usher position is to be a Goodwill Ambassador for Act II Playhouse. We are looking for Volunteers with an upbeat, friendly, can-do attitude who can enthusiastically welcome Patrons to our theater!
Prior to the performance, Usher duties may include but are not limited to stuffing programs, scanning tickets, assisting Patrons in finding their seats and running the elevator. Ushers are required to remain approximately 10-15 minutes following the performance to help guide Patrons to the exits and pick up programs, etc. left behind in the theater.
