A letter from Artistic Director, Tony Braithwaite:
I am writing to extend my deepest gratitude: to you. For your ongoing support, and your good will during this crazy, turbulent time. 2020 has challenged us like no other year. But Act II has been sustained by patrons like you. By your financial contributions and – just as important – by your kind words. When our Staff and Board of Directors reached out to ticket holders of Doubt and This Wonderful Life with an offer of virtual shows as alternatives, these are some of the wonderful responses we received:
“We just want to keep supporting Act II in any way possible.” -John R.
“We get that you have to do this to stay afloat. We’ll stick it out with you.” -James R. ∙
“We will all get through this together.” -Mary F.
“Hope you all stay safe and thank you for all your efforts to keep theatre alive for us!” -Patti M. ∙
“While it’s always better live, we so appreciate you being able to make the theatre happen! The show must go on!” -Bonnie C.
We completely agree: it is always better live! And in 2021, we are planning for a return to live shows when we can safely do so. In the meantime, we appreciate your understanding, your compassion, and your willingness to join us virtually – even if the experience is not the same.
Friends, thanks to recent news about the development of a vaccine for Covid-19, we can now see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. It will take some time, no doubt; but while we wait, I hope you’ll continue to hang in there with us as we eagerly approach that light.
Thank you for your most generous support, and best wishes for a happy, healthy holiday season!
Warmest regards,
Tony Braithwaite and the Act II family
