"Act II Playhouse opens their 2016/17 season with the uproariously funny Electile Dysfunction. This comedy pokes fun at all sides of the political spectrum this election season. Audiences can expect an evening full of political parodying, musical hijinks and rib-tickling political impersonations. Electile Dysfunction at Act II Playhouse delivers the laughs and helps to lighten the current political season."

"Looking for laughs and a smart comic approach to politics? Electile Dysfunction is your ticket, and if I was you, I’d buy one soon. The show vacates the Act II premises on October 9."

"70 minutes of pure fun."
"The Act II ensemble has plenty of material to pull from for sure. And they make great use of it, accomplishing their goal of being “equal opportunity offenders.”

"Braithwaite’s impersonation of Donald Trump was the best I’ve seen."
"He’s known as a masterful impersonator, but I’ve never seen Braithwaite do so many disparate characters in such a short time frame — and so well. Why isn’t this man on Saturday Night Live?"
"If one wanted to choose a single example of Braithwaite at his best, this would be it."
-The Cultural Critic [Read]

"Act II Playhouse is performing quite a community service, since the current election news ranges from ridiculous to terrifying. Laughter is certainly called for and three comedians and a pianist (Owen Robbins) have written and perform a revue to tremendous opening night response."

Community Partner Night

logo2 resizeThursday, Sept. 22 is our Community Partner Night. A portion of all tickets sales on this evening will go to the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association.

Since 1957 the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association (WVWA) has been protecting land, water and life in the Wissahickon Watershed. Today, there are nearly 1,300 acres of protected land on 12 Preserves and 21 miles of natural wooded trails available to the public for year-round enjoyment.  The Green Ribbon Trail is a passive recreational trail that begins in Upper Gwynedd and connects with Forbidden Drive in Fairmount Park.
